Dr. Nathaniel Cook completed his undergraduate degree at Concordia College and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Marquette University–School of Dentistry. Shortly after his graduation, he pursued pediatric specialty training at the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin Pediatric Dentistry Residency program, where he served as Chief Resident. He is a board certified Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He joined Apple Tree Dental in 2018, and in 2021 became Apple Tree’s Director of Pediatrics.

Dr. Cook believes all children deserve access to high quality, personalized and compassionate dental care. He believes it is critical to understand the unique needs of each child, and ensure that parents and caregivers are involved in the care process of their children.

Dr. Cook is passionate about lifelong learning and advancing his knowledge through continuing education opportunities so he can provide the best and safest care to his patients. He is active in dental education, and serves as a faculty with both Apple Tree Dental’s AEGD Residency Program and Hennepin Healthcare’s (HCMC) Pediatric residency and General Practice residency programs.  Dr. Cook is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), Minnesota Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (MAPD), and American Dental Association (ADA).

Along with pediatrics, Dr. Cook’s special interests include: patient/family education; preventive care; treating patients with special healthcare needs and patients with dental anxiety; minimally invasive treatment, hospital dentistry, general anesthesia and sedation dentistry; and advocacy and helping improve access to dental care for all patients.

A Minnesota native, Dr. Cook currently resides near Minneapolis with his wife, their two children, and their dog. In his free time, he enjoys biking, hiking, traveling, gardening, cooking, visiting restaurants, and cheering for all the Minnesota sports teams.
