Dr. Slashcheva earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2016 and went on to complete a Fellowship in Geriatric and Special Needs Dentistry and a Residency in Public Health. She joined the Apple Tree Dental team in 2019.
The inspiration to go into dentistry came just after graduating from high school when an endodontist suggested she pursue a doctoral degree. Since becoming a dentist, Dr. Slashcheva has become very involved in a variety of healthcare associations, including the American Public Health Association, the American Academy of Developmental Medicine and Dentistry, the Special Care Dentistry Association, Mennonite Healthcare Fellowship, and the Center for Sustainable Climate Solutions.
Dr. Slashcheva is passionate about providing high-quality care to older adults and individuals with disabilities across the lifespan. Her public health research and administration skills allow Dr. Slashcheva to advocate for her patients through developing evidence-based practice and policy innovations. Married to a Minnesota native, Dr. Slashcheva’s family resides in Rochester. When she isn’t doing research or dentistry, Dr. Slashcheva enjoys cycling, cooking, and singing.
