Career Equity Project
Information for High School teachers and admins

Your students are diverse...
and so are patients

Our inspiration behind the Career Equity Project was to nurture a dental workforce that looks more like the patients!

Just as our patients often face barriers to care, many of your students face barriers to entry into a great career.  Our goal is to help you encourage your students to investigate lucrative jobs in health care, find out if they have a passion for dentistry, and give them the tools they need to succeed in their plans.

Partner with us to put the future in their hands!

As a high school teacher or administrator, you can lead the charge to get students more interested in a fulfilling career like dentistry.

When you partner with us, we provide your students the space to get acquainted with what really goes on in a dental clinic.  They get a hands-on approach and the chance to get excited about their future in health care.

How does it work?

Once you get in touch with us, we’ll collaborate with you to get our staff in front of your students, and launch opportunities for your students to come to our Centers and find out first-hand if they’re interested in a career in the dental field.  If they love it, we can help your student take the next steps in determining how they want to pursue their dental career.  So, that could be helping them know which schools to apply for, looking for scholarships, or setting them up with a part-time job that will be flexible with their school hours.  Plus, people who work for Apple Tree can be eligible for great benefits, like PTO, 401(k) with employer match, medical/dental/vision insurance, parental leave, and more.  We also actively seek out and help our staff apply for grant funding to further their education.
