In affiliation with New York University (NYU) Langone Dental Medicine Postdoctoral Residency Programs, Apple Tree Dental’s Fergus Falls Center for Dental Health will launch Minnesota’s first rural general dentistry residency program, beginning July 1, 2022.

The NYU Langone Dental Medicine AEGD Program at Fergus Falls will be Apple Tree’s second location to host the residency program, building on its successful Twin Cities site, which is now in its fifth year at the Mounds View Center for Dental Health. As the first rural dental residency program in Minnesota, the Fergus Falls training site will provide postdoctoral-level education to dentists, preparing them to work in Greater Minnesota. This training site has been designed to prepare general dentists to provide a broad range of services in rural settings where specialty-level referral opportunities are limited.

Apple Tree has two first-year AEGD Resident positions open for a July 1, 2022 residency start date. The application process for fourth year dental students or recent dental graduates is accessible using the following link (https://pass.liaisoncas.com/applicant-ux/#/login).  Interested candidates are encouraged to submit their applications as soon as possible to be considered for this opportunity, as the PASS application deadline is December 1, 2021. To learn more about the residency, please visit the following websites (https://www.appletreedental.org/careers/aegd-residency-program/, and https://www.nyulangonedental.org/programs/aegd). You may also contact Dr. Teresa E. Johnson, Apple Tree’s AEGD Site Director at 763-600-6852 or tjohnson@appletreedental.org to learn more about the program.
