If you are a dentist looking for a dental residency opportunity, please consider applying to enroll in Apple Tree Dental’s new AEGD residency program located in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, and scheduled to launch in July 2016.
In collaboration with New York University and Lutheran Medical Center, this fully accredited Advanced Education in General Dentistry program will offer residents a one-year program
based at our Mounds View Center for Dental Health. Under the direction of Dr. Ravi Gupta and Dr. Erin Guttormson, residents will gain valuable ex-
periences with a large team of clinicians dedicated to serving patients with a wide variety of needs.
Inspired by the Mayo Clinic’s nonprofit group practice model, Apple Tree has received national recognition for its pioneering approach to integrating dental care into overall health and well-being through collaborative partnerships with more than 100 community organizations serving patients from infants to centenarians living in long-term care settings.
Residents will gain experiences in all phases of general dentistry and will work in a collaborative team environment located Apple Tree’s beautiful new Mounds View Center. In addition to the general dentistry area, the Mounds View Center also has an Advanced Dentistry Clinic where IV sedation procedures are provided in collaboration with nurse anesthetists.
Upon successful completion of the program, residents may qualify for dental licensure using the postgraduate program pathway in those states that provide for this licensure option. Graduates of this program will become more confident practitioners with bright futures in private practice, community clinics and public health settings, or may go on to specialty training or to careers in academic dentistry.
