Apple Tree Dental is a finalist for the inaugural Henry Schein Cares Medal, an award that will be given each year to organizations across the U.S. that demonstrate excellence in expanding access to care for the underserved.
Apple Tree was a finalist in the oral health category along with Diocesan Council for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul in Phoenix and the San Diego Dental Health Foundation. There were a total of nine finalists in three categories: oral health, animal health and medical health. From the nine finalists, three will receive the Henry Schein Cares Medal in each category.
The nine finalists will each receive $10,000 worth of product from Henry Schein, Inc., the world’s largest provider of products and services to dental, animal health and medical practitioners. Each of the three medalists will receive an additional $15,000 in cash from the Henry Schein Cares Foundation, Inc. to support their charitable work. A panel of expert judges from the fields of medicine, philanthropy, social entrepreneurship and business evaluated the applications, selected the finalists, and will determine the medalists.
