Implants

What are oral implants? Implants are today's best alternative to natural teeth. They are a made of biocompatible materials, just the same as hip implants or similar orthopedic devices, and function as anchors to support artificial teeth that look like real teeth. Functionally, they feel and act like real teeth. In contrast to dentures, implants eliminate the need for adhesives and can help maintain bone structure and support facial tissues. They can reduce or eliminate bone atrophy, which causes "shrinkage" or facial cosmetic changes. Dr. Mohebbi has been practicing implantology for over nine years at the Apple Tree Clinic in Coon Rapids, and welcomes patients who are interested in finding out more about implantology.

Dr. Ali Mohebbi was awarded a Fellowship and Diplomat Status from in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI). Founded in 1972 as a professional, non-profit organization, the ICOI is the world's largest dental implant society. It has members in 72 countries and there are 59 ICOI component and affiliate sponsoring societies with well over 20,000 members.
